There's a reason why people are emotionally affected by things that happened, is happening, or might happen in the future.
When things have happened and nth can be done to change history, we're usually affected because we can't let go of our negative emotions, be it guilt or anger or frustration or disappointment, there's a big IF and ? involved in our thoughts. IF only.. IF I did that.. IF i didn't..
When things are currently happening, we are affected because it is so new and fresh to the mind. We have all the details of the incident, of the words exchanged, of the decisions we made on the spot. And it's weird how emotions sometimes would get the better of us and we made decisions that would be otherwise if given time and thought to the matter.
People are usually afraid of what might happen because of past experiences and current predicaments. The fear of the unknown is great, that's why people like to plan beforehand, to lower the chances of 'unforeseen circumstances' as they like to call it. It's stunning how so many decisions are motivated by fear or the sense of insecurity.
I think, it's only wise to let go of the negativity of the past and learn from the lessons of life and experience. We should probably convert them to a positive force to strive for better control of emotions and taking a more logical perspective towards future decisions.

I don't want to stoop to your level of play because the only thing u know how to say is to make personal attacks when your defense is all weak and flimsy. I haven't spoken to you in a year but u have already made me your worst enemy. I know alot of things about you but I've never wanted to use it against you because they're all unglamorous matters. I wrote a paragraph and deleted it straight because I don't want to ruin your reputation, not that you have much of a reputation anyway. -.- Girl to girl, I won't do such a thing. These few lines concludes the amount of time I am going to waste on u.
