| I went back home ytd..... and saw my nieces. In fact, other than my first brother in law who's in China, it's like a family gathering. My sisters all came back for dinner; so did my 2nd brother in law and my 3rd sis's bf... and of course the latest addition that is, my hubby lei. I remembered that this was usual... long time ago. And I sort of erased myself away from the picture. I used to find it a chore, considering that this family gathering consists of 12pple. Now, I find it very heart-warming... Love mummy, hope her operation turns out fine. I don't think I'm studying anytime soon. My mentality isn't right now. Alex is right, I'm just such an impulsive person. Well, we only live once; whether this's an excuse for being foolish, that's controversial. The thing is, I used to be able to work 12-14 hrs a day, 3 jobs. And when I realised what that cost me, I decided to float to the other extreme. No doubt, life is about moderation and balance yet it's a arena totally unknown to me. Talking about independence; how much independence do one need in this world of complicated associations? What is true indepedence? Many of us are probably into family business; a path I may take if I should endeavour to learn from Lei's dad. So on that count, is that independence or dependence? On the other hand, is that a farcade for independence because it insinuates dependence? HA, I think life is a complex creature where we never, and I mean never ever get out of associations; with a more precise term: Networking. And the manipulation of such associations is extremely powerful. I've learnt to stay away because my nonchalence is my best defence. Once I start to engage myself in these worthless politics, I would usually be on the losing end, because these pple are ruthless and I am so not their match. So, smile girl =) it's the era of the by-standers. |
